Caesar ZZZ Overview

Welcome to our Zenless Zone Zero Caesar guide. We’ll cover everything you need to know about her skills, builds, teams, and more.

ZZZ has just teased their latest character, Caesar, who will be coming in Version 1.2. As the first drip marketed Agent, Caesar will very likely be an S-Rank Agent. While we don’t know much about her kit, we do know some details.

Her teaser page shows her attributes: Physical and Defense. The Physical Attribute adds some much needed love to the Physical roster, but the Defense specialty raises more questions than answers.

Will Caesar focus on defense, or will she convert defense into offense? Either way, Caesar will add a lot of teambuilding options for both the Physical attribute and the Sons of Calydon Faction.

ZZZ Caesar Release Date

Caesar will release September 25th with the release of Version 1.2. She will very likely be in the first half banner as the limited S-Rank Agent.

Caesar ZZZ Build Guide Overview

Since we have no idea what Caesar’s kit will be, we can’t recommend any builds just yet. She may scale off HP or DEF, or maybe even PEN Ratio (unlikely).

Thematically, Caesar seems quite similar to Arataki Itto from Genshin Impact. They are both “defense” style characters, and the Physical Attribute slightly resembles Geo.

This could mean that like Itto, Caesar will scale her damage from her DEF stat.

If this is true, Caesar may not top the damage charts, but she will provide a comfortable playstyle which many players can appreciate.

Caesar Skill Priority

Almost every Agent looks to level up their Core Skill first. This increases their base stats and upgrades their Core Passive. Once we learn more about Caesar’s kit, we can give a proper Skill Priority recommendation.

ZZZ Caesar Teams

Once again, since we don’t know Caesar’s kit, we can’t recommend potential teams. However, there are some predictions we can make.

Sons of Calydon

Firstly, let’s look at the other Sons of Calydon members. Lucy is a Fire Support Agent while Piper is a Physical Anomaly Agent. Both of these Agents potentially synergize with Caesar, but this will depend on her kit.

If Caesar is the main damage source of your team, Lucy will be a great way to amplify Caesar’s dps with her ATK buff. On the other hand, if Caesar’s kit somehow synergizes with Assault, Piper will be a great teammate.

Both of these teammates will be great as you will activate their Additional Abilities, and have a 3rd slot for a flex member. You can also potentially run all 3 for a full Sons of Calydon team.

Physical

Moving on, let’s talk a bit about the other Physical Agents. I didn’t include Billy and Corin, since for all intents and purposes, they fulfill the same role as Nekomata, but worse.

Jane Doe

Jane Doe is a Physical Anomaly Agent like Piper, but we don’t know if Jane’s Additional Ability will activate with Caesar. If Jane follows the trend of Zhu Yuan and Qingyi, her Additional Ability will need either an Anomaly Agent or a CISRT Agent.

Because of this, Jane doesn’t seem to be an important upgrade over Piper. You can run both Piper and Jane, but that would use two team slots for the same role. For Jane to work, you would need to run another Anomaly Attribute Agent like Grace. Unfortunately, Grace won’t activate her AA with Caesar + Jane, but it’s still a possible synergy.

Nekomata

When it comes to Nekomata, it’s very possible that Caesar will fit in very nicely. You can run a full Physical team with Caesar, Nekomata, and Piper.

Piper will trigger Assault, empowering Nekomata’s kit as a Burst Attack Agent, and Caesar will provide… something. If Caesar’s Additional Ability requires Physical, you can even do something like Nekomata, Qingyi, and Caesar.

While we don’t know if Nekomata will synergize greatly with Caesar, there’s definitely potential.

Potential Caesar Burnice Team

[ZZZ Burnice Guide]

Burnice is the second Agent drip marketed by Hoyoverse and is a Fire Anomaly Agent from Sons of Calydon. It’s likely they both will be S-Rank Agents on separate banners, but their synergy is TBD.

As a Fire Anomaly Agent, Burnice will fit onto Disorder teams, but we don’t know how Caesar will fit. If Caesar is more of a “Main DPS” Agent, her best teams may be quite different.

However, even if this is the case, this team can still work. If Caesar uses the Fanged Metal (4) set, she will deal more damage when your team triggers Assault.

This means you can Burn the enemy with Burnice, proc Disorder/Assault with Piper, and switch into Caesar to wail on the enemy.

Ultimately, this team is still speculative. Once we learn about Caesar and Burnice’s kit, we’ll be able to better predict what teams can utilize them to the fullest.

In Conclusion

Since we don’t know Caesar’s kit, there’s only so much we can predict about how she fits into the meta. She may work well in Anomaly teams with Piper, or alongside traditional teams like Nekomata.

Or, she could be the main damage source and you look to empower her with units like Lucy.

Whatever the case may be, it will be interesting to see how Hoyo builds upon the Defense roster and how they build her kit.
